ANSWER:

If you see a message about a file being locked, hold down the option key while selecting “Empty Trash” in Mac OS X to delete any locked files in your trash can. This works for any locked items in your trash so please be extra careful that you’re not accidently deleting non-Computer Cuisine Deluxe files/folders that may be important to you.
